CSUB Announces New Web Communications Manager
April 28, 2014
The University Advancement Division at California State University, Bakersfield is proud to announce that Stacey Childress has joined the team as the new Web Communications Manager. Childress will be working as a part of the Public Affairs, Communications and Special Events team, reporting directly to Colleen Dillaway, Director of Public Affairs. He will assume all day-to-day webpage management and communications.
Childress has ten years of web and communications experience and he comes to CSUB most recently from Texas Christian University (TCU) where he served as the Web Services Coordinator-Advancement Operations. While at TCU, Stacey developed and executed web, social media and email campaigns. He also oversaw the rebranding of the TCU Advancement and Alumni websites and email efforts and he had experience with constituent record and marketing campaign management.
As the Web Communications Manager at CSUB, Stacey will have primary and full-time responsibility for maintaining content on www.csub.edu, the official website of the university. He is charged with ensuring the consistent look and feel of the university's web presence and maximizing the capabilities of the newly redesigned site. He will coordinate with the more than 200 web liaisons, representing a wide cross section of university staff across the entire organization, who create content for webpages within their areas, and ensuring content on all pages meets web standards and is current, consistent, true and in alignment with the visual identity and mission of the university. To achieve all of this he will work hand-in-hand with the IT-Enterprise Applications department.
“When we launched our newly redesigned www.csub.edu website in January, the goal was to improve the online experience our visitors have,” said Dillaway. “The addition of a dedicated communications resource to our team will allow us to more fully realize the incredible capabilities of the new site design. We are glad to welcome Stacey to the team.”
