17th Annual Party in the Park

The CSUB Alumni Association proudly announces the return of its signature event, the 17th Annual Party in the Park, on Friday, May 10th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at CSUB’s Party in the Park 2013Alumni Park. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Ticket combination packages are available with the CSUB Athletic BBQ and the Jazz Festival, also taking place this week at CSUB. Proceeds from the event benefit the CSUB Alumni Scholarship Fund.

The evening will be filled with food, fun and live entertainment. Attendees can enjoy delicious food, try beer and wine tastings provided by Stella Artois, Lengthwise and Imbibe, and listen to live jazz music by The Jazz Duo. This event is designed to be a fun way for CSUB alumni to connect with other alumni, CSUB faculty and members of the community, all in effort to raise money for CSUB graduate students pursuing their post-grad degrees.

“Party in the Park enables us to raise money for alumni scholarships and we’ve been successful to assist several scholars a year who will continue at CSUB with support from the Alumni Scholarship Fund,” said Roopa Davé-Lakhani, CSUB Director for Alumni Relations.  “It is important for students to see they don’t have to stop at an undergraduate degree, and we can help them by raising money through events like Party in the Park.”

Students interested in applying for a scholarship through the Alumni Scholarship Fund, are encourage to call (661) 654-3211 or send an email to alumni@csub.edu.
