Sixth annual "Brains of Bakersfield" to be held May 21
April 29, 2011Bakersfield's brainiest teams, step up. CSUB will once again host the "Brains of Bakersfield" trivia contest, now in its sixth year, at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 21, in the Icardo Center.
If you've played Trivia Night at Sandrini's, you know the drill. If not, give it a try! Based on the popular trivia game "Quiz Game" that originated in British pubs, CSUB's contest features teams gathered around tables answering tough questions in a timed and fast-paced setting. Questions cover a variety of topics like sports, entertainment, history, science and more.
Loosen the brain up with cocktails starting at 6:30 p.m., with play commencing at 7 p.m. Dinner will be provided during the event courtesy of Frugatti's Italian Eatery.
Entry fee is $300 per team, with a maximum of 10 people on a team. Winners receive a trophy and bragging rights as the "Brainy Bunch."
The event is a fundraiser for CSUB Roadrunner Soccer. Deadline to register is May 14. To register or for more information, call Simon Tobin at 661-654-2428 or e-mail email@example.com. Checks payable to CSUB Soccer to Men's Soccer, 9001 Stockdale Highway, Bakersfield, CA 93311.
