Proposition 46 - Housing and Emergency Shelter Trust Fund Act of 2002 Summary and Text
Creates trust fund to: provide shelters for battered women; clean and safe housing for low-income senior citizens; emergency shelters for homeless families with children; housing with social services for homeless and mentally ill; repairs/accessibility improvements to apartments for families and handicapped citizens; military veteran homeownership assistance; and security improvements/repairs to existing emergency shelters. Funded by bond issue of $2,100,000,000.

Proposition 47 - Kindergarten-University Public Education Facilities Bond Act of 2002 Summary and Text
Provides for a bond issue of $13,050,000,000 to fund necessary education facilities to relieve overcrowding and to repair older schools.

Proposition 48 - Court Consolidation Summary and Text
Amends Constitution to delete references to the municipal courts. These references are now obsolete due to the consolidation of superior and municipal trial courts into unified superior courts previously approved by voters.

Proposition 49 - After School Programs Summary and Text
Increases state grant funds available for before and after school programs providing tutoring, homework assistance, and educational enrichment. Establishes priority for continued funding level for schools already receiving grants.

Proposition 50 - Water Quality, Supply and Safe Drinking Water Projects. Coastal Wetlands Purchase and Protection Summary and Text
Authorizes $3,440,000,000 general obligation bonds, to be repaid from state's General Fund, to fund a variety of water projects.

Proposition 51 - Transportation. Allocation of Sales and Use Taxes Raised From Sale or Lease of Motor Vehicles Summary and Text
Reallocates 30% of certain state revenues collected on motor vehicle sales or leases from the General Fund to the Traffic congestion Relief and Safe School Bus Trust Fund.

Proposition 52 - Election Day Voter Registration Summary and Text
Allows persons who are legally eligible to vote and have valid identification to register to vote on election day at their polling place.
