Four Types of Plagiarism


Students:

1. claim ownership of work not that is not their own

2. falsify citations

3. interweave author’s ideas/words with one’s own without acknowledging the source

4. paraphrase text incorrectly with/without attribution
Paraphrasing and summarizing text prove to be major obstacles for students.
