The event attracts more than 3,300 people and is widely known throughout the community as one of the top social events of the year. The BBQ will be held in the Icardo Center on the CSUB campus. "Get Wild" during this year's event and dress the part for this year's SAFARI theme.
Party in the Park

For reservations, call 661/654-3211 The CSUB Alumni Association and The Bakersfield Wine Society present the 10th annual CSUB Party in the Park wine festival! One of the biggest and best wine tastings in Bakersfield and Central California, the festival features some of California's top wineries, including Baileyana, Clos du Bois, Atlas Peak, Ortman, and Eberle.
Party in the Park will take place on campus in our newly-renovated Alumni Park, just east of the Walter Stiern Library and north of the cafeteria. It's a wonderful primer for the 20th Annual Bakersfield Jazz Festival, which kicks off in the CSUB Amphitheatre just after the wine tasting. Parking is free.
Ample hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, including the popular grilled sausages donated by Green Frog Market, also wil be served. There will be silent and live auctions of donated wines, art, sports activities and memorabilia, and other special items. While you are enjoying the great wines and company of friends, you will have the opportunity to bid on items under the canopy just east of the library building. In addition, Party attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass.
Proceeds from Party in the Park will help support the Alumni Scholarship Endowment and the Alumni Park Enhancement Project. Thanks to Green Frog Market and Klein, DeNatale & Goldner for their valued sponsorship.
