QuickTime Security Vulnerability – April 21, 2016

ITS has been made aware that Apple has decided to no longer provide updates for QuickTime on Windows PCs. According to the Department of Homeland Security, it is recommended to immediately remove the application due to security flaws that may be exploited. As such, the CSUB ITS department has started to remove QuickTime from all Windows based machines and will be replacing QuickTime with the VLC player.
