FirstClass Mobile App for Android

The FirstClass Mobile app is available for download at no cost to existing FirstClass users on the Google Play app store.  Click here to download now.

Once you have downloaded FirstClass Mobile from Google Play, please follow the simple instructions below to configure your device.

1. Tap on the FirstClass icon on your device.  Fill in fcsocial.csub.edu for the Server name, then your FirstClass User IDand Password

Once you have downloaded FirstClass Mobile from Google Play, please follow the simple instructions below to configure your device

1. Tap on the FirstClass icon on your device. All other icons on this screenshot are the default Apple icons in their default locations.

2.Fill in your Server name,User ID and Password. This is the same address you enter on your desktop computer. If you do not know your server name please contact your administrator.

Android: K-9 Mail: IMAP Configuration

Due to the vast amount of different devices available that use the Android operating system, you may have difficulties setting up your FirstClass mail with the default Mail application.  Provided below are instructions for setting up your FirstClass mail using a free, open-source mail application available in Google Play Store, K-9 Mail. Please search for K-9 Mail in Google Play Store, or scan the QR code provided below.

  1. Open K-9 Mail.
  2. Choose Next to set up account.
  3. Type in your FirstClass email address and password. 
  4. Choose Next.
  5. Choose IMAP.
  6. Enter Incoming Server settings as follows:
  • Username: prefilled
  • Password: prefilled
  • IMAP server: firstclass1.csub.edu
  • Security type: SSL (always)
  • Authentication Type: PLAIN
  • Port: 993
  • Leave other options as default.
  1. Choose Next.  (If prompted “Accept Key”)
  2. Enter Outgoing Server settings as follows:
  • SMTP server: smtp.csub.edu
  • Security type: TLS (always)
  • Port: 587
  • Require sign-in: checked
  • Authentication Type: PLAIN
  • Your username should be prefilled.
  • Enter your MyCSUB password, not your FirstClass password.
  1. Choose Next.  (If prompted “Accept Key”)
  2. Choose Account options as desired.
  3. Choose Next.
  4. Give this account a name like “FirstClass”
  5. Type your name: [enter your name as you would like it displayed].
  6. Select Done.

MeetingMaker For iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod)

Go to meetingmaker.csub.edu/mmcaldav and login with your MeetingMaker login and password to find instructions for joining your device to MeetingMaker.  The Subscription URL is what is used in the Server name field.  There may be more than one account listed, if you have proxy to other accounts. Make sure when you are asked for the login name use the whole MeetingMaker identifier: username@meetingmaker

MeetingMaker For Android

Go to Google play to download and install the CalDAV-Sync app.
Go to meetingmaker.csub.edu/mmcaldav and login with your MeetingMaker login and password to find instructions for joining your device to MeetingMaker.  The Subscription URL is what is used in the Server name field.  There may be more than one account listed, if you have proxy to other accounts. Make sure when you are asked for the login name use the whole MeetingMaker identifier: username@meetingmaker

After the installation got to "Settings" > "Accounts & Sync" and create a new Account. For server name use the Subscription URL obtain after loging in to mmcaldav above.  For User Name, use the MeetingMaker Identifier at the top of the page, which will be in the form of username@meetingmaker, and your MeetingMaker Password.

Select Next, and check the calendars you wish to sync, and select next, then close setup.
