The ITS Project Management Office provides the project management services for CSUB internal projects and strategic initiatives. PMO services include:

Project Management Services

The ITS-PMO defines, implements, and delivers information technology services and solutions in support of University strategic goals and priorities. We apply proven project management principles and a common methodology across all activities to deliver projects on time and on budget.

IT projects are defined as tasks expected to take more than 80 person-hours and require two or more people to complete. Each project is reviewed by the Project Governance Committee and assigned with Project manager and team. The project manager works with ITS-PMO office in managing the project to adhere to organization standards and guidelines.

As part of ITS-PMO ongoing efforts towards increased transparency, IT Services enables the CSUB community to check the status of both proposed and scheduled projects at any time over a secure web connection.

Project Management Methodology, Templates for managing projects

The  CSUB ITS project management methodology is based on the CSU chancellor office PMO office guidelines.   We adopt and customize the processes to fit CSUB business needs and stakeholder interests.   

The CSUB stakeholders can request a project by completing the project charter request from the ITS forms webpage.  The charter review process is documented in the project charter life cycle document.  Please see the service catalog for more information.
