Admission Requirements

If you are currently seeking education in the US, please check with the following requirements to decide if you are qualified.
CSUB is authorized to issue Form I-20 and Form DS-2019 for qualified applicants to obtain their F-1 (student visas) and J-1 (exchange student/scholar visas) from the US embassy or consulate in their countries of origin.
GPA Requirements:
3.0- Undergraduates
2.4- Transfer (60 semester units or 90 quarter units)
2.5- Graduate
2.75-Graduate MBA Program
Please, note:
All college/university transcripts from foreign institutions MUST be submitted for credential evaluation. Please, read “Transcript evaluation” section for reference.
It is required that a statement from the bank of the person sponsoring your education shows that the student has $29,000.00 available for one year of study. It can be from the applicant, the applicant's parents, or from another sponsor.
Second Bachelor’s requirement
Students applying as a second bachelor’s student are held to graduate requirements.
Green Card Policy
Students are eligible for resident tuition 1 year after the Green Card was issued.
Transcript evaluation
Admissions requirement is that all college/university transcripts from foreign institutions must be submitted for detailed, course by course credential evaluation along with degree posted. CSU, Bakersfield recommends the following evaluation services:
