HOW TO APPLY:
 
Application Requirements
International students, including those who hold US visas as students, exchange visitors, or in other non-immigrant classification, must meet specific admission requirements. Satisfactory academic performance, verification of English proficiency, and adequate financial resources are considered for admission.
 
Applicants who have been educated for a minimum of three years in English at a qualifying educational institution may be considered as meeting the English proficiency requirement. Please check out our list of countries and institutions at: www.csub.edu/isp/countries for details.
 
CSUB is authorized to issue Form I-20 and Form DS-2019 for qualified applicants to obtain their F-1 (student visas) and J-1 (exchange student/scholar visas) from the US embassy or consulate in their countries of origin.
 
Required documents
(All applicants must submit the following documents for consideration)
 
  1. A completed International Student Application (download from  www.csub.edu/isp/application_international.pdf)
  2. Application fee, $55 USD, non-refundable and payable to CSUB.
  3. Financial Affidavit = an agreement between you and your sponsor confirming that you do have the finds to attend school at CSUB (download from  www.csub.edu/isp/forms.html)
  4. Bank statement showing $24,000 for your first academic year at CSUB
  5. Two sets of official transcripts (all high school work for undergraduate applicants; all high school work and college work for lower-division transfer; all college work for upper-division transfer and graduate applicants). Transcripts must be in English and officially sealed.
  6. TOEFL (paper/computer/iBT) (CSUB institutional code: 4110)
a) Undergraduate: 500/173/61 & IELTS 6.5 band
b) Graduate: 550/213/79-80 & IELTS 7.0 band
** Only 6 items are required for undergraduate applicants
** Graduate applicants are required to submit the following as well
  1. Resume
  2. Two reference letter from professors
  3. GMAT for MBA; GRE possible for other programs.
 
Deadlines:
July 1=Fall Entry         
October 15=Winter Entry   
January 15=Spring Entry
