Sophia Adjaye

I’m Dr. Sophia Adjaye, professor of English and the outgoing chair (2005-2011) of the Department of English at CSUB, where I’ve taught linguistics for the past 22 years. I was born and raised in Ghana and educated in both Ghana and the United Kingdom. This “overseas” background and my years in the US give me a world perspective and an understanding of different educational systems. In addition, I’m fully fluent in English and Akan (Fante-Twi) and also have some knowledge of other languages.
