Minor in Interdisciplinary Studies

A minimum of 12 units of coursework are required for an Interdisciplinary Studies minor, 9 of which must be at the 3000 level or above. Available Ethnic and Area Studies minor options include Asian Studies, Black Studies, Chicano/a Studies, Film Studies, Latin American Studies, Ethics, and a general minor in Ethnic Studies. Students can also minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Courses should be relevant to the particular plan of study. Students may use the courses (information to the right) as a starting point, and other relevant courses may be approved on an individual basis. Please consult with a faculty area coordinator or INST advisor for specific programmatic details or to craft a plan of study.
