- Do I have to have a roommate?
YES- The residence halls are double occupancy. The availability of a single depends on the occupancy level. Single rooms are a premium and at an additional cost.
- May I have an overnight guest?
YES - if you have a roommate, your roommate must agree
- Do I have to take a meal plan?
YES - room and board are a package deal
- What type of security is provided?
Along with campus police patrolling the area, the Resident Assistant on duty locks the buildings down every night at 10:00 pm.
- If I don't get along with my roommate, may I move?
YES - room changes take place during the second week of each quarter.
- Will financial aid cover my housing?
That depends on the amount of financial aid you are awarded.
- May I have a microwave in my room?
NO - sorry, the circuit breakers will not take the overload, but one is provided in the lobby of each building
- May I have a refrigerator in my room?
YES - but it can't be any bigger than 3.0 cubic feet. We also rent them out for the school year.
- May I bring my own TV, stereo, and/or computer?
YES - basic cable and internet is included in each room.
- Are the meals at a set time?
YES - breakfast generally is served from 7:00-8:30 am; lunch 11:30-1:30; and dinner from 5:00-7:00 pm.
- Do I have the freedom to come and go as I please?
YES
- Does each room have computer access to the campus network?
YES - ResNet - Residential Network is availale to each resident as a courtesy.
- May I bring my own bed?
YES - but you must leave all original furniture in the room, and there are no waterbeds allowed.
- May I bring my pets?
NO
- Will I have my own bathroom?
NO - each wing has its own bathroom.
- Do I need insurance for my personal property?
YES - neither the University nor the Housing Office are responsible for your personal property.
- Can I have a telephone?
YES - each student is responsible for your own phone service. Landline (SBC) or cellphone (your choice)
