Important Update for all History Majors taking the Social Science program: Please note that the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has informed us that the new subject matter program in Social Science has been approved.

Students in the current program will have until July 1, 2009 (the CCTC's deadline) to complete that program. New students and those who cannot complete the existing program by July will follow the requirements in the new program. Fortunately, the programs are quite similar and this should not prove to be a hardship for students.
