STUDENT RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY

The History Department is looking for serious students eager to participate in the Oildale Centennial project. We need students willing to help with various aspects of research, including transcribing oral interviews. Student researchers also may earn history credit this spring by working on a research paper on some aspect of Oildale history. If you are interested, please contact Prof. Jeanne Harrie (Chair) and sign up for an independent study (HIST 499, if you are an undergraduate student, and HIST 699, if a graduate student). You may sign up for as many as 5 units of credit. See Prof. Vivian’s article on Oildale's centennial celebration for more details.
