Applying to HEP
Any Migrant or Seasonally employed agricultural worker or their children
who:
Within the last 24 months have worked a minimum of 75 days in farmwork;
or eligible in or
Participated in a Migrant Education Program;
Is at least 16 years of age or over, or beyond the age of compulsory
school attendance;
Has not earned a secondary school diploma or its equivalent; and not
currently enrolled in school.
What
does HEP provide?
The High School Equivalency
Program provides to its student participants:
Stipend
GED Preparation and classroom instruction
University housing for those in the Summer Residential Program
Tutorial assistance
Academic and vocational counseling career advisement
Post-HEP assistance......and other services
