Individual Substance Abuse

Alcohol Assessment: A trained professional can meet individually with students to determine if the student has a substance or alcohol abuse problem. After the assessment, an appropriate referral is made.

Alcohol or Marijuana 101: The committee developed an alcohol and marijuana diversion class to assist students who have violated the CSUB Alcohol and Illicit Drug Policy. As part of their disciplinary action, students are required to attend the class, which consists of education, counseling, and journaling. Students are referred to attend this class by various departments on campus including the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and Residential Life.

This program is intended as an education sanction and does not involve formal alcohol assessment or counseling.
