WART CLINIC

Common warts are growths in the surface layers of skin caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). One method of treatment is cryotherapy or freezing of this abnormal growth of cells. The SHS offers a wart clinic using this method of treatment for simple warts including external genital warts.

If you think you have a wart, schedule an appointment for an initial evaluation and possible treatment. Usually warts must be treated several times, especially if the wart is large or in a sensitive area. You will be scheduled for additional appointments as needed. Liquid nitrogen is now available any day of the week.

Cost: none

See the patient information sheets on warts and genital warts for more information.
