Policy conflicts:

“If there is a conflict between the sponsor’s and the CSU’s requirements and/or restrictions, the stricter guidelines are to be followed. However, the sponsor’s guidelines will be honored if the award agreement specifically exempts the project from a more restrictive CSU policy or procedure (e.g., meal service). In this case, a copy of the exemption narrative is to be attached to the expense request documentation for the record.” CSUB Program Administration Guide Revised April 2009, available in the Policies and Procedures page of this GRaSP website.
