Enrollment Requirements

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships (OFA&S) considers undergraduate, 2nd BA/BS, and post-baccalaureate Teacher Credential students to be enrolled full-time if they are registered in at least 12 units per quarter and working toward their stated degree objective. Graduate and Doctorate students are considered to be enrolled full-time if they are registered in at least 8 units (which should typically consist of 500 and 600-level coursework) per quarter toward their stated degree objective.*

Undergraduate, 2nd BA/BS, and post-baccalaureate Teacher Credential student enrollment levels per quarter:
Full-Time Three-Quarter-Time Half-Time Less than Half-Time
12 units or more 9 to 11 units 6 to 8 units less than 6 units
Masters and Doctorate student enrollment levels per quarter:
Full-Time * Three-Quarter-Time Half-Time Less than Half-Time
8 units or more 6 to 7 units 4 to 5 units less than 4 units

* Please note: maximum SUG awards require 12 units of enrollment for graduate students
