Information for Veterans
- All veterans should apply for benefits online with the Department of Veterans Affair via the Veterans ON-Line Application (VONAPP) website. After completing this step, please contact:
- Ms. Tanae Hammond, CSUB Veterans Coordinator & Financial Aid Counselor at email@example.com or by calling (661) 654-2592.
- The second step recommended for veterans is to apply for financial aid by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
GI Bill Information
Please visit the CSUB's Veteran Information Center and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs GI Bill Website. These sites include helpful VA information.
To self-certify your Chapter 30, 1606 or 1607 monthly verification of attendance with the VA, you can go to www.gibill.va.gov to Verify Attendance via WAVE (Web Automated Verification of Enrollment). If you do not have Internet access, you can call toll free (877) 823-2378 to verify your monthly attendance.

Called to Active Duty During the term
If you are called to active duty while enrolled at CSUB, please contact the following staff in regard to course withdrawal and refund of tuition and fees. You will need to provide a copy of your orders.
