Students Served

As part of the awarding process, the office must regularly review the characteristics and needs of financial aid and scholarship applicants. Financial aid applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to be considered for both federal and state need-based financial aid programs. Federal Congressional Methodology (CM) is used to objectively determine applicants' financial need, and students are ranked accordingly for awarding using various grant, loan, and work-study awarding formulas. A similar procedure is followed in the awarding of academic scholarships, depending upon selection criteria specified by the particular donor. Many of the students served by the office come from low-income, disadvantaged backgrounds. Please refer to the Statistical Summary of Financial Aid and Scholarship Recipients and Annual Report links for more detailed information.
