Due to major budget reductions in the past decade and continuing budget shortfalls, the Facility for Animal Care and Treatment (FACT) at California State University, Bakersfield is closing.

Effective immediately, we will no longer be accepting animals for treatment. Please contact animal rescue centers below if you find an injured or orphaned animal.

The CSUB Environmental Studies Center, of which FACT is a part, will continue to serve its mission of environmental education for CSUB students and the wider Kern County community. We are planning for our future and we will post our progress as plans develop.
