Project Management Certificate Program

About the Program
The Project Management Certificate Program is designed to give project managers and team members the tools and skills necessary to successfully manage and contribute to the success of their projects, regardless of industry or specialization. Best of all it is 100% on line, so even busy professionals can participate when it is most convenient for them.  You must have access to the Internet and a basic knowledge of a computer.

The course content is based on A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Fifth Edition, 2013, published by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is available through the Project Management Institute. Candidates can satisfy the educational contact hour requirement by successfully completing this program. CSUB Extended University is an approved PMI global Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.).

Students can take all five courses and receive a certificate of completion, or just the courses you need for skill development and improvement, or to fulfill the PDU requirement for the PMP® Certification.

Admission to the Program
If you intend to complete all five courses and wish to obtain a certificate of completion, you will be required to complete an application and submit it with the application fee by mail or in person at the Extended University Office during regular business hours.  We do not accept applications by fax or email.

Admission is permitted any quarter.  If you have no project management background or knowledge it is suggested that you apply for the Fall or Spring quarters when the sequence of courses begin.

An application can be obtained here on our website or by contacting the Extended University Office and one can be mailed or e-mailed.  You can also visit our office in person to obtain an application.

Program Requirements
To receive a certificate of completion, all five courses must be completed with a grade of "credit".  To obtain credit in a course you must receive 70% or higher. You can complete the program in as little as two quarters.
