The President's Office is very proud to host events on campus each year.
View President Mitchell's Monthly Update to see what is current on campus and in the community.
The President's Annual Report is published at the end of each Academic Year. It is a detailed reflection on the year, including Academic Growth, Student Success, Faculty Success, Community Partnerships for Excellence and Athletic Success. It is a great publication to see the years Fast Facts along with CSUB Revenues and Expenses.
The completion of each Academic Year is an exciting time for students and faculty but if you are a Senior, walking across the Graduation stage, it is much more! We are continually so proud of the many CSUB students each year that are able to complete their CSU degree and make CSU Bakersfield their alma mater.
If you are currently a Graduate, please familiarize yourself with our Commencement website, contact your Dean's office or contact the Alumni Office. Email email@example.com with any questions you may have.
We hope that you will stay involved with your alma mater, so keep your information up-to date on our online form and join us for Young Alumni Council events and activities. The Alumni Association, along with CSUB faculty and staff will be at commencement to cheer you on for all your hard work!
University Day is hosted by the President's Office each fall, as a Welcoming to CSUB Faculty and Staff. He introduces new members to the CSUB team, including an awards ceremony and special thanks and gives an Annual Address for the new Academic Year. University Day is a great way to start the new school year, with motivation and a sense of teamwork for the CSUB campus. Registration is required.
President's Associates Dinner
The Annual President's Associates Dinner is put on by the President’s Associates for Student Research Scholars. By any measure, the President’s Associates is CSUB’s oldest and most prestigious giving
society. For over 40 years, the President’s Associates have been hosting an annual dinner to recognize donors and scholarship recipients. The generous contributions of our President’s Associates
members support our student research scholars who vie for limited research competition slots. Upon selection, they complete a comprehensive research project under the direction of a faculty mentor and present their research at a yearly on-campus competition. Winners advance to compete at the state level.
It is quite an honor for CSUB to not only have such committed members of the President’s Associates but also congratulate such amazing student research scholars and their faculty mentors.
CSUB Distinguished Speaker Series
It is anticipated that there will be two Distinguished speakers each year. The first two in 2013/2014 were very successful events with support from Alumn and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and CSUB President Dr. Horace Mitchell.
November 2013: Elon Musk - CEO and Chief Designer of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, debuted the CSUB Distinguished Speaker Series.
May 2014: J. Patrick Doyle - CEO Domino's Pizza
The purpose of the CSU Bakersfield Distinguished Speaker Series is to bring to the university and community distinguished individuals whose achievements have had national and/or international significance.
