A. Requirements for the Major (Based on the 2007-2009 Course Catalog)

  • I. Math and Computer Foundation Skills (2 courses):
    • 1. Math 140: Elementary Statistics or Math 191: Precalculus Mathematics I
    • 2. One of the following:
      Cmps 120: Computer Skills & Concepts
      MIS 200: Software Productivity Tools
      GST 390: Microcomputers
      GST 393: Introduction to Microcomputers-IBM PC
  • II. Communication and Management Foundation Skills (3 courses):
    • 1. Comm 304: Technical & Report Writing
      Note: CSU has established a systemwide policy that all degree candidates demonstrate upper division writing compentency as part of their graduation requirement. The Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) is an assessment of the composition skills of both undergraduate and graduate students. In order to demonstrate this competency, ALL students must achieve a grade of "C" or better (not C-) in COMM 304 to satisfy this mandatory requirement.
    • 2. One of the following:
      InSt 435: Negotiation and Conflict Management
      Soc 442: Conflict Mediation & Dispute Resolution
    • Mgmt 430 Negotiation Skills
    • 3. One of the following:

  • V. Environmental Policy Analysis (3 Courses):
