Converting SAMI to SMIL for RealPlayer and QuickTime Player
In order to play your captioned media file for other media players, Hi-Caption will let you convert your SAMI file for Windows Media Player to SMIL file for RealPlayer and QuickTime Player. Please follow the steps below to create your SMIL file.
RealPlayer
At the bottom of Hi-Caption interface, choose the SAMI(RealText) tab.

Select Refresh in the top window and this will pop up another window to create SMIL file from SAMI file.

- Save your SMIL file.
Next, click the Refresh in the lower pane to create RealText information and you will be prompted to select a SAMI class - choose the class ENUSCC.

- Save your work.
QuickTime Player
Choose QuickTime Text from the Tools. This will open a window below.

- Like SMIL and RealText window, click Refresh button in both panes to create SMIL and QuickTime text.
- Once their properties have been defined, save both.
- Your closed caption should appear in the QuickTime Player.
