Jack O’Connell stumps for educational standards

and President Horace Mitchell.State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell stopped by CSUB in February as part of a three-day tour of the state to deliver regional State of Education addresses for educators and the public.

O'Connell discussed how the global economy and rapid pace of technological change are affecting the way California must prepare students for jobs in the 21st century.

He also spoke about the importance of the high school exit exam and the need to capitalize on California's diversity.
