Milestones In Memoriam William Webster, CSUB professor emeritus of educational administration, died Nov. 14, 2004. Dr. Webster served as a professor of educational administration from 1981 to 1994. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Holy Cross College, his master’s degree from Stanford University and his doctorate from Harvard University. He joined the faculty of what was then California State College, Bakersfield having previously joined the state Department of Education in Sacramento as deputy superintendent for programs. He also served as coordinator of project redesign in Albany, N.Y., and served as a principal at several schools across the nation. While at CSUB he was a Senior Research Scientist and member of the Applied Research Center. During that time he was also co-director of the Institute for the Study of Secondary Education. Born May 13, 1926, he was a Navy veteran and served in World War II and the Korean War. After retiring, he went to Mexico where he was a visiting professor at Universidad Autonoma de Tlaxcala in the city of Tlaxcala. Dr. Webster is survived by his wife, Beverly, seven children, and seven grandchildren.
