CSUB student Elizabeth Wong singing Yerushalayim Shel Zahav or Jerusalem of Gold on the Mt. of Olives in Israel.

Elizabeth Wong ('04, BS Business Administration), a current CSUB master's in business administration student and alumna, traveled to Israel this past summer with 18 other Christian students from American and German universities as part of the Eagles' Wings Israel Experience (IE) College Scholarship Program.

She learned a lot not only from the places they visited, but by the people she met. "We interacted with numerous people, from leaders to media representatives to everyday Israelis - all of whom were ecstatic to see young people wanting to learn more about Israel," she said. "I was amazed how many people expressed their profound gratitude that young people would take an interest in their country. It would be like foreigners coming to America and expressing how much they are praying and standing with us because of 9-11. Even the thought of that moves me beyond words."
