In Memoriam
 

John C. Manning, professor emeritus of geology and a founding CSUB faculty member, died earlier this year in Nevada. Dr. Manning served as professor of geology from 1970 until his retirement in 1980.  He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho, and his doctorate from Stanford University.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eva, of Las Vegas; his son John Manning of Las Cruces, N.M.; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Carol Manning of Bakersfield; and five grandsons.


Stan Frazier, longtime business manager for the CSUB Foundation, died August 23 in Rock Mount, MO.  Mr. Frazier joined CSUB in January 1972 serving as administrative assistant, associate budget analyst, associate budget specialist, in addition to serving as business manager until his retirement in July 1997.  He is survived by his daughter Stacy Stanley and her son Gunner.
