One thing in life nobody can avoid is death. California State University, Bakersfield spotlights one man's struggle to come to terms with mortality in its production of "Everyman," Feb. 26 - March 1 at the Doré Arena Theatre.

Written by an unknown author in the late 1400s, "Everyman" is a moving allegory about the task of coming to terms with mortality. Upon receiving news of his fate from Death, Everyman sets off on an adventure during which he must undergo various trials and sacrifices before he can achieve a state of grace. Director Mandy Rees said, "The play shows how every man should meet death and also how every man should live."

Performances are set for Feb. 26 - 28 at 8 p.m. with matinees at 2 p.m. on Feb. 28 and March 1. General admission is $10, seniors are $8, and students with identification are $5. Seating is limited. For more information or to reserve your seat call (661) 654-3150.
