Disney's Big Mouse on Campus program is coming to California State University, Bakersfield, Feb. 25-27, providing CSUB students the unique opportunity to jump-start a career with Disney.
"We have developed a very strong relationship with the CSUB campus and are always looking for ways to broaden our diverse range of candidates all across the country," said Sarah Woodman, Disney College and CareerStart Programs recruiter. "CSUB has been extremely hospitable in inviting us to participate in various events and we are always pleased with the students we encounter.
"This event will give students a chance to interact with recruiters to learn more about the Disney College Program. ... This multi-day event will also give students a chance to chat with a recruiter about resume building, interview skills as well as attend live presentations for opportunities to join the internship program that will begin in May 2008. Our internship program is open to all majors and all academic levels. We are interested in meeting students who are outgoing and enjoy working with people."
The Disney College Internship Program in Anaheim is a one of a kind nine-month skill building experience. Students who intern with Disney have the unique opportunity to work within the theme parks and resorts while earning college credit, building transferable skills, interacting with leaders within the Disney corporate structure, and gaining real work experience while being part of a team of cast members from hundreds of job disciplines.
Disney visited CSUB several times during the fall 2007 quarter to promote the program and interview students. Two CSUB students joined the Disney College Program in January and started the internship program this month.
