A group of over 200, including educators and parents, are expected to attend, "Discipline Without Stress, Punishment or Rewards," a workshop offering skills and techniques to improve management and discipline in the classroom.
Marvin Marshall will be presenting the workshop scheduled for Thursday (May 3) at 3:30 p.m. at the John Eliopoulos Hellenic Center located at 43404 30th Street West in Lancaster. Marshall is known for his motivational speaking that fosters individual and social responsibility.
The collaborative event hosted by California State University, Bakersfield, Antelope Valley Region School District, Kern County Superintendent of Schools and Chapman University, will provide skills to beginning teachers and mentors within Lancaster and its surrounding communities.
Reception and hors d'oeuvres will be served from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., presentation following from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
