Former California State University, Bakersfield graduate Tara-Nicholle Nelson will be hosted by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for a special presentation and signing of her new book, "The Savvy Woman's Homebuying Handbook: 150 Insider Secrets, Decision-Making Guides and Online Resources - plus the 1 Action Plan you Need," on Thursday, May 24, at 6 p.m. in the CSUB Student Union multipurpose room.
Nelson graduated from CSUB with a master's in psychology and went on to attend law school. She now works as a real estate agent for bilingual homebuyers and other minority groups. Nelson is an accredited buyer's representative. Nelson was also the 2006 commencement speaker for CSUB's School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
"Bakersfield is my hometown and was my launching pad, so to speak," Nelson said. "So I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to come share with the women (and men!) of Bakersfield some of the insider secrets and mindset strategies they can use to set and reach their lifestyle goals – real-estate related or not!"
Parking and admission for Nelson's appearance at CSUB are free. For more information please contact Yvette Morones at or (661) 654-6832 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
