An exhibit by senior art students at California State University, Bakersfield, opens Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Todd Madigan Art Gallery on the CSUB campus and runs until March 11.
Works by Monica Aguilera, Corinna Fanshier, Alisa Howard, Erin O'Brien, and graduate student Ben Schramm will be on display, said Michael Johnson, director of the gallery.
The exhibit, "Tender Offer: Work by Graduating Students" will include paintings, photography, and sculptures. Schramm's work will feature a video DVD projection and 14 digital prints done with Photoshop. "They're geometric and pattern based," said Johnson. "They're colorful, sophisticated, and beautiful."
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
A special opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 23, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. For additional information, please contact Johnson at (661) 654-2356 or mjohnson32@csub.edu.
