California State University, Bakersfield's Theatre Department will present "The Talking Stick," an original performance that weaves together four tales from Africa with giant puppets, dynamic storytelling, African drumming, and dance.

Presented in the spirit of The Lion King, the event will take place in the Arena Theater Saturday and Sunday (March 11-12), with show times at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This show is most appropriate for children between the ages of 5 and 10.

Tickets are $5 for adults and students; children under 12 are free.
