A visiting Fulbright Scholar from China will discuss contemporary relations between the United States and China in the 21st century at a public forum on Thursday, May 26, at California State University, Bakersfield.
Qingsi Li, a professor at Renmin University of China in Beijing, will give a short formal talk followed by a question-and-answer period in room 401 of the Dezember Center on the CSUB campus from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The talk is free, and the public is invited.
Li earned his doctorate in international relations. His dissertation topic was, “The U.S. Congress and its U.S. China Policy.” He has written a book and co-authored three others examining Chinese foreign policy, and some 60 articles published in journals and newspapers investigating U.S.-Chinese relations and diplomacy.
During the 2004-05 academic year, he has been a Fulbright Scholar involved in various research forums, public presentations and conferences throughout the United States and Canada.
