The Global Affairs Club at California State University, Bakersfield is hosting its eighth annual Wine Tasting and Beer Garden, Saturday, March 20, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the CSUB Stockdale Room.
“This event is a fundraiser for the club,” said Tina Giblin, secretary of the Political Science Department. “The club members are going to New York to participate in the Model United Nations Conference, and funds raised at this event help cover the costs of the trip. Coming to the Wine Tasting and Beer Garden is a wonderful opportunity to support the student representatives who will be attending the conference.”
Hors d’oeuvres and a wide selection of beer and wines featuring those from some of California’s finest wineries will be available, Giblin said, accompanied by live jazz music.
General admission is $20; students with identification, $15. For more information or to purchase tickets please call the CSUB Political Science Department at (661) 664-2142, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org .
