A presentation on ěTeaching with New Technologiesî highlights the next meeting of the Council of 100 at California State University, Bakersfield.
The noon lunch meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Stockdale Room of the CSUB Cafeteria, will feature David Georgi, Teaching with New Technologies (TNT) program coordinator and a professor in CSUBís School of Education will discuss how the TNT program prepares teachers to be technologically proficient. ěTNT is addressing the new technological standards for teachers that have been adopted by the state,î Georgi said. ěThe ability of this program to train new teachers to use technology in order to improve teaching and learning is critical for the future of Kern County.î
The Council of 100 is a group of area business executives and community leaders who meet quarterly with CSUB officials to learn of the resources the
university can provide.
Chamber of Commerce and Kern Economic Development Corp. members are also invited to attend.
