CSUB GRADUATING SENIOR ART EXHIBIT OPENS

Eight California State University, Bakersfield art students will be exhibiting their work at the 2003 Graduating Senior Exhibition to be held at the CSUB Todd Madigan Gallery, May 2 through June 5. The exhibit will open with an artistsí reception on May 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The exhibit will showcase a variety of mediums including digital photography, painting and sculpture. One student has used car license plates to create an eight-foot sculpture of a man. The exhibiting seniors are Hillary Boos, Danielle Cordle, Abel Pedro and Eva Smith of Bakersfield; Kiley Craft of Quartz Hill; Esther Gonzalez of Rosamond; Joanna Gutierrez of Delano; and Caleb Kromer of Tehachapi.

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Special gallery hours will be held Saturday, June 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. and the gallery will be closed Saturday, May 24 for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
