The Global Affairs Club at California State University, Bakersfield is hosting its seventh annual Wine Tasting and Beer Garden, Saturday, April 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the CSUB Walter Stiern Library Dezember Reading Room.
The club provides international learning experiences for students through on-campus panel presentations, guest speakers and academic debates, and by facilitating opportunities for students to participate in academic programs at other universities and institutions throughout the U.S. Funds raised by this event assist in sending members to the annual Third World Conference held each year in Chicago. The conference gathers representatives from schools across the nation to discuss, debate and brainstorm ideas regarding various topics. This year's topics are "Development, Global Security and Sustainability."
There will be food, live entertainment and a guest speaker. General admission is $20; students with identification, $10. For tickets, more information or to make a donation, please call the CSUB Political Science Department at (661) 664-2141, or send an email to email@example.com.
