Nominations are sought for Alumni honors
The Alumni Association each year recognizes an outstanding graduate of California State University, Bakersfield, and nominations are being sought for this year's recognition, said search committee chair Jack Moon Gallon, '74. The alumnus of the year will be honored at the annual Party in the Park wine tasting May 11 at Alumni Park.
"The Alumni Association takes great pride in its membership," Gallon said. "We are trying to locate those graduates who have 'gone the extra mile' to make significant contributions to their profession, the community, or the university."
Nominations will be accepted from individuals, businesses and corporations, non-profit agencies, schools, and community service organizations. The Alumnus of the Year Committee and former recipients of the award will review nominations and the individual will be honored at Party in the Park, the annual wine tasting event held in Alumni Park, preceding the Jazz Festival.
Nomination forms are available at Alumni Relations, Office of University Advancement. For more information, please contact Alumni Relations, by phone, 661/664-3211; by FAX, 661/664-3244; or by e-mail, firstname.lastname@example.org.
