History forum examines Christianization of Rome
The January History Forum presented by California State University, Bakersfield's History Department will examine "The Christianization of Rome: Myths, Monuments, and Martyrs in the Transformation of the City."
CSUB history professor Miriam Raub Vivian will present a talk focusing on Rome's evolution from a pagan to a Christian city, both politically and physically, with special attention to the archaeology of San Clemente Church.
The History Forum is scheduled Friday, Jan. 12, at 4 p.m. in the Albertson Room adjacent to the Dore Theater. This event is free and the public is invited.
