CSUB hosts computer graphics exhibit
A demonstration of state of the art computer graphics and modeling will be presented Dec. 14 -15 at California State University, Bakersfield. The Reality Center will be on exhibit, illustrating complex modeling and visualization systems for industry, as well as presenting a "virtual reality" experience of the trading floor at the New York Stock Exchange.
The Reality Center is a wall, 10 feet long and 4 feet wide, powered by Silicon Graphics 3300W. Demonstrations of Silicon Graphics hardware and software developed by Dynamic Systems, GeoQuest, and Landmark Graphics will be presented Thursday, 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m. An open house with demonstrations will be hosted on Friday. The exhibit will be held at Performing Arts Building 101.
GeoQuest, Landmark, and Dynamic Systems are sponsoring the exhibit with the Geotechnology Center and Department of Geology and Physics at CSUB.
