CSUB hosts Transfer Day

 

California State University, Bakersfield hosts Transfer Day Saturday, April 15, beginning with check-in at 8:30 a.m. at the Dore Theater. The program is designed for students who are transferring to CSUB from another school, including community colleges and other universities.

President Tomas A. Arciniega will welcome students who are entering CSUB in fall 2000. Orientation programs for new students and their parents will be presented. Students will get to meet with schools deans, including the deans of Arts and Sciences, Business and Public Administration, Education, and Liberal TransferStudies.

Students who have been admitted for fall 2000 will get to meet with an academic adviser and register for classes. Those students are reminded that they should have completed their English and mathematics aptitude exams, known as EPT and ELM, unless the requirement has been specifically waived.

A program for students who wish to apply to CSUB will be held concurrently. Information about applying and being admitted to CSUB will be provided.

Campus tours will also be provided. Information will be presented about using the library, information databases, and instructional technology services.
