Impact of technology covered at April Council of 100 meeting
The impact of technology in today's society will be outlined at the next meeting of the Council of 100 at California State University, Bakersfield.
The noon luncheon meeting on Wednesday, April 12, in the Student Union multi-purpose room will feature CSUB management professor Moshen Attaran, who will discuss advances in business and technology, and its effect on the San Joaquin Valley.
Attaran will also talk about the digital divide those who are using technology and those who don't have access to it. He will also share the role CSUB is playing in increasing the awareness of technology in people's lives.
The Council of 100 is a group of area business executives and community leaders who meet quarterly with CSUB officials to learn of the resources the university can provide.
Chamber of Commerce and Kern Economic Development Corp. members are also invited to the meeting.
