Dear CSUB Senior,
Congratulations! All of us - the faculty, staff and administration of CSUB - would like to commend you for a job well done and let you know that not only are we proud of your accomplishments, we are elated that another CSUB student has joined the growing ranks of our Alumni Association.
Spring 2010 Ceremony Dates:
- Tuesday June 8th- Graduate and Hooding Commencement Ceremony for all schools at 6pm in the Icardo Center.
- Friday June 11th- Business and Public Administration, School of Education, and Natural Science and Mathematics at 7am in the CSUB Amphitheater.
- Saturday June 12th- Humanities and Social Sciences at 7am in the CSUB Amphitheater.
Grad Fair Information:
We hope you will be able to join us for Grad Fair on April 27th and 28th in the Runner Bookstore or on April 29th at the Lancaster University Center in Antelope Valley. At Grad Fair you can:
- Purchase your cap and gown - also available at the bookstore throughout the quarter
- Order diploma frames and announcements - you can also order announcements online
- Have your portrait taken - you will need to reserve a sitting in advance
Number of Tickets: Each graduate can be assured of receiving up to six tickets if collected by May 14th. However, we ask that you only pick-up the number you require so that any extra tickets can be distributed as needed to their classmates. You must present either you CSUB ID card or picture ID to obtain tickets.
Ticket Distribution Details:
To ensure adequate seating at each of the commencement ceremonies, tickets will be required for all guests. Commencement tickets are complimentary and will be distributed at Grad Fair. If you are unable to attend Grad Fair, you can pick up your tickets in the Alumni Office through May 21st. Our office hours are 9:00am-4:00pm. Click here for Campus Map.
If you do not pick up your tickets by 4pm on Friday, May 14th, the Alumni Office cannot guarantee you will receive your full number of commencement tickets.
From Tuesday, May 18th through Friday, May 21st from 9:00am - 4:00pm, additional tickets may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Alumni Office cannot guarantee there will be additional tickets remaining for all of the school ceremonies. Do not email commencement@csub.edu for extra tickets. If additional tickets are available, we will inform all graduates via email.
If your name is not on the ticket distribution list or you do not have an active application for graduation on file, you should contact your Evaluator at the Office of Admissions and Records at 661-654-3036.

Seating Information:
Each graduate can be assured of receiving up to six tickets. However, children two years old and younger do not need tickets as long as they are not using a seat. Graduates do not need tickets.
As there is no reserved seating, guests are advised to arrive early to get seats of their choice. Early arrival will also enable guests to get settled in their seats prior to start of the processional. Please note: guests MUST have their tickets to be admitted and seating will begin approximately one hour before each commencement.

The Alumni Association will be there to cheer you on and to sell flowers for your special graduation day. Proceeds from the flower sales help support alumni events and activities. This is a great way for your family and guests to show how proud they are while helping your alumni association.
