Admissions

Eligibility Requirements:

• CSUB students' children
• Two through five years old excluding children who are attending a kindergarten program
• In good health

Application:

All families interested in enrolling their children must submit an Application for Campus Child Care and Development Services . All information submitted by families must be verified by the Center.

Admission:

According to California State University system-wide policy, priority for admission and re-enrollment shall be awarded in the following order:

• 1. children of low income students
• 2. children of other students
• 3. children of campus employees
• 4. children of off-campus persons

Children of persons in categories #3 and #4 shall not be admitted or re-enrolled in subsequent years until a reasonable effort has been made to accommodate all eligible applicants in categories #1 and #2.

Training Guidelines:

The Center's program is specifically designed for student-parents enrolled in an educational program leading to a CSUB degree. The parents' educational transcript may be reviewed at the beginning of each quarter to insure that reasonable progress is being made toward the educational goal specified in the training verification document.

Enrollment:

Children are enrolled on a daily basis in one of the following three enrollment categories:

• Half Day - 3.9 hours or less
• Part Day - 4 to 6.4 hours
• Full Day - 6.5 or more hours
